As you'd expect from a Costa. The service could be a bit quicker, as the staff not fully utilised, the Costa in Louth has someone taking orders and people making drinks. Here someone takes the order, then goes and makes the drinks. However, the standard of drinks still just as good, and I've not knocked stars off for this

On my last couple of visits to this branch, I have waited + minutes in a queue to be served. I think today was the final straw as staff seemed completely out of their depth, yet also not in any real hurry to move things along. People in the queue were getting fed up and leaving. The till was mostly abandoned even with a long line of people waiting. When I worked in retail that would have been completely unacceptable. Then when they do serve, there is no acknowledgement of the wait or politeness in the greeting. You just feel as if you are adding to their workload rather than being a paying customer. If you get there first thing in the morning you can normally get served within - minutes, but anytime after about am and everything grinds to a halt. There seems to be no concept that some people are trying to grab a coffee on their way to work and don't have all day.It is obvious the staff are very disengaged from their work and really don't want to be there. Honestly, it's quite sad to see. Upper management really need to be investing in their training and teamwork skills. At the minute, nobody is leading or helping them to succeed.Having worked in customer service myself I know it's not an easy job. But this is no excuse for utterly abysmal service. If you are going to turn up to the job you have to be committed to it.Costa, you really need to help your main branch in Grimsby if you want to keep your customers. Something just isn't working here.

Comfortable, open sitting area (but also with a cosier overflow area). Not keen on the savoury food but the cakes are consistently good as are the drinks (today's blueberry bubble frappé was delightful). Service always good even when very busy - my favourite go-to coffee shop.(Photo is of Strawberry and Cream Frappé)

Coffee was lovely!! Millionaire shortbread was so tasty. The lady on the till was so nice, she helped me choose something different as I wanted a change. Very polite and helpful. The shop is so open and comfortable, was able to sit and chat and just enjoy the time spent at Costa.
